We are a local independent church; a group of Christians that gather for worship, teaching, prayer, singing and fellowship in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ alone. Our beliefs are based on New Testament principles and we are not affiliated with any denomination. There are many other groups around the USA and world that meet as we do.
Our Lord instructed us to remember Him in the breaking of bread. This we do on a weekly basis at the Lord's Supper. All born again Christians who are in fellowship with the Lord in a Bible believing church, and not living in known sin, are welcome to participate with us in this remembrance.
OUR TEACHING
We seek to teach the Word of God in a systematic way through Sunday School for all ages and weekly Bible study groups. Our goal is the same as the apostle Paul's, teaching every man with all wisdom in order that we may present every man complete in Christ.
Every believer in Christ has a spiritual gift given by the Spirit, and it's to be used for building up others in the body of Christ and for the work of the ministry. We seek to encourage every believer to develop his or her gifts and to use them in serving the Lord.We also have youth groups, ladies Bible study, men's prayer breakfast and Bible study.
Before you can appreciate hearing the Good News, you have to hear and appreciate the bad news, for it's the bad news that makes the Good News so good. The bad news is that all of us have sinned, and our sins are an obstacle between us and God. Isaiah 59:2 says, “But your iniquities have made a separation between you and your God; and your sins have hidden His face from you...” If that isn't bad enough, the Bible says that the consequences of our sins is death! That's found in Romans 6:23, “The wages of sin is death.” It's not until we fully realize the gravity of the bad news that we truly appreciate the Good News.
The Good News is that although the wages of our sin is death, Romans 6:23 continues, “but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” We don't receive this gift through a religious rite or ritual, but by an act of faith; confessing we are sinners in need of a Savior, asking God to forgive our sin and to save our soul. The Bible assures us that, “Whoever calls on the Lord will be saved,” Romans 10:13. Having our sins forgiven and having peace with God and the assurance of eternal life; there is no better news than that. Have you asked God to forgive and to save you? Get that settled and then start enjoying life in the family of God.
